It’s a busy day in the Spy household. I took AJ and a friend ice skating this morning, and I’m trying to cram in some work before Mr. Spy has to go to a meeting this afternoon, at which point I will switch into Thanksgiving mode and get to work on cranberry sauce and creamed onions. So instead of a real entry, here is a meme cribbed from midlife mama and freshhell.

Things I’ve done are bolded:

13. Watched a lightning storm at sea

17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty (but I walked down from the top of the Eiffel Tower once)

19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France
20. Slept on an overnight train
21. Had a pillow fight

22. Hitch hiked (I’m too law abiding)
23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill
24. Built a snow fort
25. Held a lamb
26. Gone skinny dipping

27. Run a Marathon
28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice
29. Seen a total eclipse
30. Watched a sunrise or sunset

31. Hit a home run
32. Been on a cruise (not unless you count the 3 hour variety, and no, not like Gilligan’s Island)

34. Visited the birthplace of your ancestors
35. Seen an Amish community
36. Taught yourself a new language

37. Had enough money to be truly satisfied (I’m not sure what this means. I never seem to have enough to feel safe, and yet I always have what I need. Maybe that means I’ll never be satisfied with money. In any case, I don’t associate a more global sense of satisfaction with money at all)
38. Seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person
39. Gone rock climbing
40. Seen Michelangelo’s David
41. Sung karaoke
42. Seen Old Faithful geyser erupt (only on the live webcam, which I definitely recommend)
43. Bought a stranger a meal at a restaurant

45. Walked on a beach by moonlight
46. Been transported in an ambulance

48. Gone deep sea fishing (although technically, I didn’t fish. But I did go along for the ride)
49. Seen the Sistine Chapel in person
50. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris (see aforementioned hike down — the elevators terrified me on the way up and I was not about to set foot in one again)
51. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling
52. Kissed in the rain

89. Saved someone’s life (I’m not sure about this one, but I walked in on a friend once who was trying to slit her wrists and called for help; but I didn’t actually do the lifesaving part of it)
