Pictures of Christmas

December 27, 2010

My Bûche de Noël

At the annual family Christmas Eve party, AJ visits with Santa, as played by his 16-year-old second cousin. Santa is testing for his driver’s license tomorrow. Maybe he’ll get to drive his own sleigh next year.

Christmas morning, AJ checks out the stockings.

And he models his new bathrobe with his best Calvin face.

And behold, his new present allows him to take over the world:

This afternoon was the first official meeting of the League of Imaginary Friends. Jeanne brought commemorative buttons for the occasion.

Mr. and Mrs. Necromancy

Jeanne and Mr. Unfocused

Here’s the whole crowd in a picture taken by our waiter.

Lass and Fairlywell and Mr. Fairlywell were supposed to join us too, but Lass had other obligations and Fairlywell was sick. We’ll have to try again next year.

Now I know what I look like after an afternoon of champagne and martinis…

I would love to get together with my imaginary friends. It sounds like a wonderful undertaking.

Jeanne, I’m just glad no one had cameras by the time we got to bar #2. I hope you enjoyed the play! Eleanorio, it was lovely, although two of the people I was looking forward to seeing were unable to make it at the last minute.

Love seeing the pictures and I still think it’s immensely unfair how little Jeanne has aged.

We did enjoy the play. It was a little shmaltzy, but we were in the mood for that. Also, it’s what my family does when we get together. We’ve been known to see a matinee in the afternoon and another play at night.

Also, just so you know, the Fairmont hotel has a good bar, but the worst internet “service” I’ve ever experienced in my years of staying in hotels.
